Spanish Trail Lofts are conveniently located in OceanSpring’s charming downtown area. Downtown Ocean Springs is host to the famousWalter Anderson Museum and the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center, you’ll alsofind unique shops, art galleries, museums, the best restaurants on the coastand lots of friendly people. There is almost always something going ondowntown, farmers markets and festivals during the day and plenty of night lifewith great live music at night. The Inner Harbor is only a couple of minutesaway and is a great place to buy fresh shrimp right off the boat or book afishing trip to the barrier islands. Shearwater Pottery is just east of theharbor and is an interesting place to stop in. Just a little further up theroad is Front Beach. Here there are sandy beaches, picnics tables, bonfirepits, and a community fishing pier. Ft. Maurepas Park is located just acrossfrom Front Beach, which is a great place for younger children. There is achildren's splash pad, playground equipment and a covered picnic area. The parkis often host to concerts and other events. Further west is the OceanSprings/Biloxi Bridge, a very popular and scenic place for walkers to takeadvantage of the nearly two-mile pedestrian walkway over the Mississippi Sound.On the other side of the bridge, Biloxi offers plenty of Casinos andrestaurants, the world famous Ohr O’Keefe Museum of Art, the Maritime andSeafood Industry Museum, Beauvoir (The home of Confederate President JeffersonDavis) and the newly opened MGM Park (a 5,000+ seat baseball stadium that ishome the Biloxi Shuckers). Ocean springs is also a great jumping off place fora day trip to New Orleans, which is only about 90 miles away, or to Fairhope,Mobile and Dauphin Island, 50 or so miles away.
